  Insect and Disease Control

Insect Prevention and Control

Insects and disease provide a challenge for homeowners and businesses alike. Left unaddressed, they quickly lead to a ruined lawn.

Turf & Tree Worx , our affiliate company, provides both surface control (ants, cinch bugs, etc.) and sub-surface control (grubs and sod webworms).

A preventative approach greatly reduces the risk of recurring insect problems by eliminating the adult insect before it lays eggs.

Gypsy moths are hard to control, and spreading over this area at an alarming rate. Turf & Tree Worx provides full service to control gypsy moths. Click here to find out important information on gypsy moths and your trees.

Why Do I Need An Insecticide?

Many insects tend to invade lawns during dry spells. Insect damage can make your lawn look like it is "dried out". An insecticide application before the dry season will significantly help to prevent this!

Neighbors that have insect problems are also a hazard to your lawn. Unnoticed insects and eggs can find their way to your lawn. Preventative care is the best solution to break up the egg cycle, because insecticides don't kill eggs.

Finally, even trained lawn technicians can fail to spot invading bugs. This can cause very costly turf repairs, as your technician only sees your lawn every four to eight weeks. This depends largely on current lawn conditions, and current weather conditions. Please ask us if you have specific questions.
